This is the website of artist Gregg Schlanger and the home of
the Sockeye Arts, Education & Science Fund.

Gregg Schlanger is a professor of art at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. He received his MFA from Northern Illinois University in 1989.  He works primarily in installations and community public art projects. Gregg’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and include projects for the City of Providence, Rhode Island, the Galerie Neue Raume, Berlin, Germany, Galerie Am fischmarkt, Erfurt, Germany, the Waschhaus, Potsdam, Germany, University of Northern Iowa, University of Arkansas, University of Memphis, University of Tennessee and Fassbender Gallery, Chicago. He has received many awards including Sponsorship by the New York Foundation for the Arts, Israel-Tennessee Visual Artist Exchange Project Fellowship, Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship, USIA Arts America Grant,  Planning Grant from the New England Foundation for the Arts and New Forms Regional Initiative Grant from the NEA.
